When massaged into the skin, Spongilla Spicules temporarily create microscopic pathways that allow treatment actives to penetrate more effectively. These natural micro-structures remain active within the skin for up to 48 hours before being naturally shed during the skin's renewal cycle. This process helps support visible skin rejuvenation and improved treatment results.

Professional Application

  1. Cleanse and tone the skin.
  2. Perform a suitable professional peel if required.
  3. Apply the appropriate ampoule, booster or concentrate and massage until absorbed.
  4. Apply dots of Bio-Needling Oxy-Gel to targeted areas or across the entire face and neck.
  5. Using gloved fingertips, massage with firm circular pressure movements.
  6. For targeted treatments massage for 2-3 minutes. For a full face and neck treatment, continue for approximately 8-10 minutes.
  7. Apply a compress sheet mask soaked in toner for 4-5 minutes.
  8. Remove and continue with the selected ANESI treatment protocol.
  9. Finish with suitable post-treatment skincare and SPF protection

Aftercare Advice

  • Use high-factor SPF daily following treatment.
  • Avoid sun exposure for 3-5 days.
  • Spicules can be felt for 1-2 days. Avoid touching the treated area where possible and cleanse gently.
  • Avoid exfoliating products and intensive treatments for approximately 7 days including scrubs, peels, retinol, and other microneedling treatments.
  • Avoid excessive heat, exercise or sauna use for 24 hours after treatment.
  • Temporary skin flaking may occur 3-7 days after treatment as part of the natural renewal process.

The Bio-Needling Oxy-Gel can be added as an extra step in your Anesi Lab facials:

  • Aqua Vital - Suitable for use with all treatment protocols. Should not be used alongside the Thermal Mask, this step should be skipped.
  • Epigenesse
  • Cellular3
  • 3C Vitamin Glow - It is recommended to apply Oxy-Gel after the removal of the Bubble Mask.
  • Dermo Control - For skins that would benefit from deeper needling action the Oxy-Gel can be applied on top of the Blemish Control Gel.

 

It is not recommended to use any bio-microneedling treatments on sensitive skin and is therefore not suitable for use alongside the Harmony facial.

It is not necessary to use Oxy-Gel alongside Dermo Peel or Luminosity treatments as they already feature a strong bio-needling action.
