As aesthetic treatments continue to evolve, so do client expectations. Results-driven treatments are essential, and for professionals offering (or considering) advanced treatments such as microneedling, selecting the right products has never been more important.
An in-depth consultation is always a must, especially with more advanced protocols. Professionals should always use their own judgement of each individual case when choosing which products or protocols to use. All of the suggestions provided in this article are intended for the mccosmetics mesotherapy range of sterile vials & ampoules and the SkinMate Microneedling Pen.
What Clients Are Really Asking For
Across clinics, clients are consistently seeking solutions for a series of core skin concerns:
Professional, sterile serums specifically developed for aesthetic treatments help beauty & aesthetic practitioners to address client concerns safely & effectively. For those considering training in and offering microneedling & mesotherapy treatments, it’s key to note that only professional, sterile products should be used.
With so many products to choose from and potential combinations, it can be difficult to get started. The next section outlines what the different products are, what they are generally used for, and suggestions for targeting the core client concerns.
Classic Cocktails & Serums
Mesotherapy cocktails are a great way to introduce a pre-mixed combination of key actives to the skin. But what’s the difference between all of the different products available? Within the mccosmetics range (and many other brands as well) you will find a few different options:
Cocktail Vials – These are vials of pre-mixed ingredients that have been specifically formulated to target a specific concern such as brightening hyperpigmentation for a more even skin tone.
Standard Vials & Ampoules – These usually contain a serum with a single key active (or sometimes a couple of key actives) that can be used alone or mixed with other appropriate products. These are all water-based products.
Powder Vials – We carry a small range of vials that contain powdered versions of a key active, such as Vitamin C. They are usually mixed with a sterile liquid such as the Serum Solution ampoule and mixed until fully combined. Some ingredients are well suited to being in this form and often have a longer shelf-life. These vials also offer experienced professionals more control over the concentration of the key active their serum.
Topical Ampoules – These products are oil-based serums that are for topical use only and not suitable for use with microneedling or mesotherapy techniques. Can be offered as a retail product and used by the client at home.
Protocols
These microneedling facial treatment protocol suggestions are a great starting point. All of these suggestions feature just 1 vial with 1 or 2 key actives, or Fusion Cocktail vials which are a mixture of selected ingredients that aim to target key concerns.
